JURY MEMBERS' COMMENT

Though this book is classified as an architecture reference book, its purpose is to serve as an entry point for the general public (those who are not experts, students, or enthusiasts of architecture) to engage with the subject. Architecture books often presuppose a certain level of literacy in terminology, history, and geographical context, which can create a high level of asymmetry for lay readers, sometimes diminishing their interest. In this book, however, the use of various illustrations and graphic elements keeps the reader engaged, while concise text and a layout with ample white space provide room for involvement. Exploring Hong Kong's architecture with this book in hand could be an enjoyable experience.

[   KONG KONG ARCHITECTURE   ]  Team

Comprising a team of three accomplished individuals, all intimately connected to the realm of architecture, including a seasoned professional architect, the collective mission is to present the splendor of Hong Kong's architectural landscape in a manner that is both intelligible and captivating. Through a unique blend of cross-media platforms and a polished professional publishing format, yet untapped within Hong Kong's literary scene, the team aims to impart a profound understanding of Hong Kong architecture. The ultimate goal is to inspire readers to explore multiple artistic perspectives and deepen their connection to the subject matter, thereby elevating the discourse surrounding architectural art critique.

We wander through different buildings every day, sometimes pausing to appreciate their functionalities and artistic designs, unveiling numerous clever touches in architectural art!
